Snapshot

Linea recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the Pineview Solar project in Wilcox County, Georgia. The project, a 80 MW utility-scale solar energy facility, is a collaboration with MEAG Power, which will purchase the energy generated. Construction is being managed by Discovery Industries.

Our 109 MW dc facility is expected to reach completion by early 2026. Once operational, the project will produce over 202,000 MWh of energy annually.

Spread out over 480 acres in Wilcox County, the solar farm will power over 15,500 homes and help reduce CO2 emissions by over 127,000 tonnes each year.
How Solar Energy Works

What's the project impact?

Pineview Solar will have a significant economic impact on the local community, with approximately $3 million in local property tax revenues over the next two decades. The project will also contribute to Georgia's clean energy goals and reduce the environmental impact of the state's energy supply.

Community Commitments

Linea Energy launched a scholarship to invest in the education of local high school students, aiming to develop future leaders and encourage participation in Georgia's energy future. Additionally, Pineview is estimated to reduce carbon emissions by approximately 23,700,000 lbs per year, contributing to a cleaner, more sustainable environment based on the carbon intensity of Georgia's energy grid.
Good for the Community

Pineview Solar will employ up to 250 workers on-site at its peak, providing a meaningful boost to the local economy.

Over $3 million will be generated from property taxes on the land used for the solar farm.

Good for Wilcox, County

Linea Energy has partnered with Wilcox County High School to host a scholarship essay completion.

They've also contributed funding to the state championship rings for the girls' basketball team and their coaches.

Good for the Environment

Pineview is a part of Linea's larger commitment to enable and support the renewable energy transition.

Solar energy produces none of the harmful pollutants that traditional sources like gas or oil do when they're refined and combusted.

Good for Georgia

Georgia has set ambitious plans to diversify their energy portfolio. The state has pledged to add 1,000 MW of renewable energy generation in 2025, contributing to an overall goal of 11,000 MW added to the grid by 2035.

Our project will support these goals by adding over 80MW of renewable, clean energy to the grid by early 2026.

Local Economy

Pineview Solar will employ up to 250 workers on-site at its peak, providing a meaningful boost to the local economy.

Over $3 million will be generated from property taxes on the land used for the solar farm.

This revenue will go back into the local community, helping to support local infrastructure and businesses.

The Project will not only help the state achieve cleaner emissions but will also increase grid capacity, helping the state adjust to increased economic growth and electricity demand.

This transition will usher in an era of cheaper, cleaner, and more reliable electricity for Georgia residents.

Education

Linea Energy has been able to support Wilcox County beyond the project footprint as well.

Earlier this year, we contributed funding for state championship rings for the girls' basketball team and their coaches.

We also aided in hosting a scholarship essay competition, partnering with Wilcox County High School. This opportunity was incredibly important to us as we saw it as a way "for Linea to develop the future leaders of Georgia and encourage the next generation to participate in its energy future."

Sustainability

Pineview is a part of Linea's larger commitment to enable and support the renewable energy transition.

Our facility will bring clean, emissions-free energy to Georgia, powering over 15,500 homes. Solar energy produces none of the harmful pollutants that traditional sources like gas or oil do when they're refined and combusted. Our project will help improve local air quality by offsetting over 127,000 tonnes of CO2 a year, slowing the acceleration of climate change.
